Peavey 6505 Mh Loud Enough

1/31/2018  · The 6505 is 120 beastly watts. Not sure about the Chinese ones, (though I’m sure still 120 watts), but the early 5150/5150 II were stupid loud , and really needed some volume to open up. Owned them both. I had a 6505 mini as well. It farts out pretty quick for a 20 watt amp. Sounds good, but past 10:00, it falls apart.

[Discussion] Update – Yes, the 20W Peavey 6505 MH through a 4×12 is loud enough to keep up with a full band. In case anyone in the future has this question, I tested out my 6505 MH with a full band playing loud (drummer, 2nd guitarist with Mesa Dual Rectifier through 4×12, bassist with some big Mesa rack setup through a 4×10 and 1×15).

[Question] Is a ~20 watt tube head like a Peavey 6505 MH loud enough to use as a backup head in non-mic’d smaller venues? I have a 6505 + as my main head. From what I’ve heard, it’s a good idea to have a backup head just in case. I’d prefer to keep my 6505 + in the rehearsal space, and get a smaller, less powerful tube amp ( 6505 MH ?) for practice …

10/10/2016  · Have a look at the 6505 Mini Head and a 1×12 cab, or something. It goes from 20w down to 1w. Tube amp wattage isn’t really a decisive factor in how loud an amp will be. But to give you an really rough indication, 1w on my Sheriff is enough to piss off my neighbours on a calm day, let alone my own house.

11/7/2016  · How loud is he 5150 iii 50 watt head? It is quiet enough to use for bedroom practice (I know volume levels can be a bit subjective). Still trying decide between this and the 6505 mini head. My 20 watt blackstar gets a little lost in the mix when jamming through a 2×12 cab with drums, another guitar player and bass.
