Ministry of Encouragement Church was founded by Senior Pastor Gabbella Jones in October of 1999. The meeting place started in the senior pastor’s living room on Saturday nights to give God praise for one hour with a few people. Sometimes 5, at others 6 or 7, even times when pastor found that she was the only one in attendance.

CSR’s Ministry of Encouragement works primarily on the preventive side of clergy support, helping ministers prevent the life-impacting problems that often come their way, such as burnout, depression, moral failure, forced termination, and a host of other challenges. She received two Associate’s Degrees from Allegany College of Maryland – one in Business Management and a second in Office Technologies: Administrative Assistant Field. She and her husband reside in Cumberland with their three children. She attends Ministry of Encouragement , where she is a member of the praise team and serves as a class leader.
